Japanese chocolatier Mary’s Chocolate has revealed new sets of Pokémon-themed chocolate based on a few popular original generation 1 Pokémon.

There are eight Pokémon x Mary’s Chocolate Valentine’s 2023 chocolate sets to collect, which each set featuring pixel art true-blue to the Pokémon Gameboy games. The sets include:

The Red box financing 1,296 yen (US$10.03) and spotlights Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard. The chocolates are inspired by fire-type moves. The flavors include strawberry, brown sugar, and red pepper.

The Green box financing 1,296 yen (US$10.03) and features Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur. The grass-type moves inspire the chocolates. The flavors include matcha & milk, sakura, and pistachio & hazelnut.

The Blue box financing 1,296 yen (US$10.03) and features Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise. The water-type moves inspire the savor and designs of the chocolate. The flavors include soda, mitarashi, and salt from algae.

The Yellow box financing 1,296 yen (US$10.03) and features Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu. The electric-type moves inspire the chocolate; the flavors include banana, honey, lemon, and gianduja.

The variousness box financing 1,512 yen (US$11.71) and features the mythical Pokémon Mew and legendary Pokémon Mewtwo. It features chocolates with designs inspired by the psychic-type moves Confusion and Psychokinesis and chocolates with images of Mew and Mewtwo’s tails. The flavors include pomegranate, peach, and stormy caramel.

The variousness box financing 2,160 yen (US$16.72) and focuses on the incubation of Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Pikachu. It features three chocolates for each Pokémon.

The Eevee and Friends chocolate box financing 1,026 yen (US$7.94) and spotlights Eevee and her evolved forms. The chocolates include a Poké Ball and chocolates representing the colors of Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon. The flavors include caramel, lemon, and orange.

The Poké Ball and Master Ball set includes two tins and financing 1,620 yen (US$12.54). The Poké Ball tin contains chocolates with designs of five variegated Pokémon encountered in the Kanto Region. The Master Ball tin contains chocolates with designs of five variegated legendary Pokémon from the Kanto Region.

The Pokémon x Mary’s Chocolate Valentine’s 2023 sets are misogynist in department stores nationwide in Japan and the official Mary’s Chocolate online store.
